ODSONNE EDOUARD didn’t play any part of the win over Livingston. Neil Lennon confirmed the striker had come to him and said he wasn’t ready to go and was fatigued from the start to the season and returning from injury.

PLZ Soccer pundit Tam McManus believes the striker has done the club a disservice considering the magnitude of the season and thinks Eddy should be ‘bursting’ to play in every game he can.

There are players who will run themselves into the ground for their team but it could end up being to the detriment of the club and the player in the end. Players being able to say they need a rest can be seen the way Tam puts it, or it could be seen as looking at the bigger picture.

If Edouard does stay, having him at his best for a longer period is much bigger than playing one game against Livingston.

I suppose, McManus is trying to suggest Edouard might not be fully committed. Celtic fans will obviously refute this.
