DANNY MILLS has shocked many by being one of the very few people who are telling Arsenal to pay what Kieran Tierney is realistically worth in today’s market.

The penny pinching by Arsenal has been spectacular and it has seen two bids thrown out by Celtic. The Premier League created this over-inflated market and Celtic are now looking to cash-in on the ridiculous sums thrown about down south.

Mills believes if Arsenal really want him then they will have to pay the going rate for the left back which in his mind is £35-40million.

Speaking with TalkSport as cited by the Record, Mill said: Realistically £35-40m for Tierney would be about the ball park. When you go in ridiculously low – if you want a player but go in low it doesn’t say you really want this player. Wan Bissaka was ridiculously over-priced. I’d say £35m-£40m for Tierney would be fair.”

Celtic have been quite clear and concise with their approach to the interest in one of their star players. They are comfortable they will get what they want for the defender or keep him at the club which would be the ideal scenario for Celtic fans.

It’s about time someone from down south grew a pair and admitted that some of the talent coming from Scotland has done extremely well in the Premier League.
