Anthony Ralston has been speaking to the media ahead of Celtic’s fourth pre-season friendly on Saturday.

Parkhead is welcoming Championship side Blackburn as the team continue their preparations for their title defence season.

Postecoglou won’t allow his team’s performance levels to drop as he looks to build on last season’s success. The gaffer will be eyeing the treble paired with a goof European run; after all, he enters every competition with the intention of winning them.

It’s exciting times to be a Celtic fan, with the club heading in the right direction with a manager constantly striving to be successful and build on previous achievements.

Anthony Ralston has echoed the fans’ excitement, stating they have every right to be excited. He even admitted the players have a good feeling about the near future.

Speaking via Celtic TV, the Scottish international said;

“We’ve done what we done last season, we hit good heights but it is important that we improve again and as a collective that is what we aim to do.

“We are in a good place, we have had good training and games under our belts but going into the season we want to not only do what we did last season but improve on it. They (fans) definitely should be excited to get going, we all are. We had a great season together last season and we are looking for the same again. But that is behind us, what is done is done, we are ready to start a new chapter.”

Ange Postecoglou’s the Right Man for the Job

The manager has certainly ticked all the boxes so far. Winning the league in his first season at Celtic was a remarkable achievement. No fan thought Celtic would be in touching distance of first this season, but Ange kept tinkering away and earned the belief of his squad.

It’s going to be exciting seeing Celtic in the Champions League next season. Fans aren’t expecting too much, but there is definitely some belief that Celtic can put in a good few performances.
