You can add your own Valentines puns below. For Celtic fans, they’ll wonder why John Beaton’s football rule book is so different to everyone else. Celtic got well and truly beaten in their last visit to Ibrox, nobody ever tried to take them three points away.

With the shambolic officiating Celtic and fans of other SPFL teams have had to endure this season it’s a surprise when a game is officiated properly. If Alfredo Morelos was watched closely in every game he plays he could break all kinds of records with his card collection. Commentators call him petulant, we prefer thuggish.

When things don’t go his way he likes to go around kicking opposition players. In the last Glasgow derby, he avoided cards on 3 occasions. If the cards should have been yellow or red didn’t matter, he should not have remained on the pitch for 90 minutes.

After the game, all hell broke loose between refs and clubs but without any useful outcome for the good of Scottish football. With four penalties given away at Ibrox the weekend, the saga continues.

Tonight a referee did his job. He sent off players for altercations that warranted a red card.

Celtic target Scott McKenna and Morelos had a kick at each other and the ref sent both players off. He also awarded Aberdeen in a penalty that Sam Cosgrove converted. Like we said earlier, Alfredo doesn’t like playing within the rules, if a player cam was put on him and a few more sending off’s he might stop acting like a thug.

Craig Thompson got enough decisions wrong tonight to crush any hope of long-lasting change from the men in black.

  1. Even if McGregor had been sent off, it would still have been Aberdeen 10 men versus tribute 12 men, remember (regrettably), ref’s and linesmen are also part of the game.
