According to reports, Vakoun Bayo is in demand ahead of the transfer window gets ready to close on Friday.

The striker has fallen down the pecking order at Celtic even more with the arrival of Patryk Klimala and it looks unlikely the striker will get any game time in the coming weeks and months.

A loan move has been touted but nothing has come of it yet. According to SunSport, Rapid Vienna want to sign the striker on loan for the rest of the campaign but Celtic have been dragging their heels on any potential deal at this moment.

Vienna were said to be interested in the Ivorian last season before Celtic came calling and would like to get him in at the second attempt.

Celtic have Odsonne Edouard, Leigh Griffiths and Patryk Klimala in front of Bayo but as we saw during the first half of the season – it’s possible all three strikers could be out at once. This left Lewis Morgan playing up front for three games, including a cup final which is far from ideal.

Vakoun came in last January and cost Celtic £2.01m according to TransferMarkt.
