Celtic are reportedly ‘weighing up’ a move for £3million-rated Rapid Vienna left-back Boli Mbombo as they work out a contingency plan in the event Kieran Tierney leaves for the Premier League.

MailSport report Celtic have a list of possible replacements in mind if Arsenal meets the valuation of the Celtic star and the bhoys are looking to be more pro-active than they were when Moussa Dembele hot-footed it out of Celtic Park last summer.

There has been no word from the club about any bids for Kieran Tierney and nothing from the player himself. Everything is being kept quiet at the moment and there’s nothing more to say on the issue until Arsenal make a credible bid the club would find it hard to refuse.

If that happens then the 23-year-old Rapid Vienna defender could find himself on his way to Celtic Park as Tierney’s replacement. Celtic are already short of defenders from a summer exodus and selling another would cripple our back line without players coming into the club.

  1. Boli Mbombo would be a great backup for Kieran Tierney I hope he does not leave Celtic need to make a statement and say no to the speculation of Kieran Tierney leaving for arsenal or anywhere else and Celtic need to make a statement by bringing in quality players next season. It is time the Celtic board show the Celtic fans loyalty or I can see a lot of people not going to games next season.
