Luke McCowan continues to impress with his attitude and likability on the pitch, just as impressive as he is off the pitch.

Speaking post-match after his goal and hat-trick of assists this afternoon against Ross County, he remained as humble as you can imagine a footballer would be after such a spectacular performance.

McCowan said: (Celtic FC YouTube Channel), when asked, “That first half seemed to be one of your best performances in green and white. Would you agree with that?”

“Probably. I just want to try and help the team as much as I can, no matter what kind of game time I’m getting.

“It was a good game, but it’s important not to get too ahead of myself now. I need to push on and try to impact the games.

“It’s good [to get a goal and three assists]. I probably could have got more assists in the second half!”

His attitude is simply a breath of fresh air. You can see how much he wants to start week in, week out, but unfortunately for him, he has joined one of the best Celtic squads of the last decade.

With a number of midfielders fighting for just three positions, he has had to wait for game time.

This afternoon, however, he showed why he deserves to start more often than he has since joining in the summer transfer window.

On Wednesday against Aberdeen at Pittodrie, he will be desperate to start, but with Paulo Bernardo, Reo Hatate, and Arne Engels all competing for two places in the Celtic midfield three, he will know just how tough it is to get a place in the starting 11 in this Hoops side.

One thing is clear: the future for Luke McCowan at Celtic is very bright. At just 26 years old, he can only improve.

With his attitude and mentality already elite on the pitch, he will only get better under Brendan Rodgers.
