CELTIC FANS would be due to some sort of compensation of the last of the bhoys home fixtures couldn’t be played or were played behind closed doors.

Not that this is anyone’s priority at the moment. However, the terms and conditions of Celtic’s season ticket make it clear every season ticket holder would be due something back.

Whether that’s money back in your bank account or a gesture for merchandise in the club shop – we don’t know.

Checking our own terms and conditions on our season ticket paperwork it reads:

“If the club is unable to complete a match fixture to provide a result for the purposes of the football authorities due to causes beyond the control of the club, and that match fixture is not re-scheduled, the holder will be compensated for any corresponding reduction in services.”

Pretty clear Celtic have covered their fans in the extreme cases of matches being called off. This could likely tie into their insurance who might be the ones paying out if the rest of season doesn’t go ahead.

As we say, this is not something that’s a pressing matter and Celtic supporters want to see their team back. But it’s good to know these things, especially with the club less than forthcoming with information at the moment.

  1. Donate the shortfall to help anyone in financial need during this covid-19….i.m sure the techno bhoys between the club and supporters spokespersons could set up a base to distribute funds as quickly and sensibly as possible ” p.s…keep safe , no matter what side of the Clyde THEY may be “”
