CELTIC were yesterday linked with a move for Liam Moore after it was revealed he is on Brendan Rodgers hit list as the Irishman rebuilds his central defence.

Upon hearing the news Reading manager Jaap Stam was quick to say the player was not for sale.

However, it would appear that Reading have slapped a £5million fee on the 24-year-olds head plus add-ons if anyone wants to sign him.

Liam Moore has been impressive for Reading so far this season but the club sits in 18th place in the Championship – eight points off a playoff spot. By the turn of the year, Reading could be up there or facing a relegation battle.

If the latter occurs the player may try and push a move but Reading would certainly have to come down in price as Celtic are very unlikely to spend so much on one player.
