NEIL LENNON must be getting tired of repeating himself every time he has to do an interview this summer transfer window.

Since Arsenal’s initial approach for Kieran Tierney, the trail has gone cold and has left a lot of Arsenal ‘in the know’ accounts red faced.

Neil Lennon poured cold water over the speculation surrounding his star defender and has insisted now on several occasions there has been nothing new to report since the initial offering which was quickly rebuffed by the club.

After watching his side win comfortably against Sarajevo, the Celtic manager had this to say:

“I have taken no notice of the headlines. I am well aware of where we are in terms of the situation.” he told SunSport.

“I spoke to Kieran in Austria and to be honest I haven’t really seen much of him because he came back early for rehab, so he hasn’t been on the training ground as yet.

“It can be an unsettling period for any player and that is understandable.

“But until a club comes up with any sort of realistic valuation of the player we don’t have to do anything and we won’t.

“It’s as you were. Kieran is getting on with his rehabilitation and we are getting on with what we have to do here.”

Tierney has been getting on in the background trying to get back to full fitness so he can rejoin the squad again. A double hernia operation over the summer was needed after last season’s hip problems hampered the defender’s game time.

If Arsenal are planning to bid again for Kieran, they are aware of what would be needed for Celtic to even take notice. There’s now less than a month to go until the EPL transfer window slams shut.
