John Kennedy called out the poor decision not to give Celtic a penalty in the Glasgow Derby on Sunday and called the lunge by the Gers player as reckless.

The debate has raged on but there is contact with Eddy’s foot and had VAR been in play, we’ve seen so many of these given in other leagues.

Collum was so quick to condemn Eddy as a cheat in what was one of many strange and snide decisions from the referee.

Speaking after the game, Kennedy told CelticTV.

“I’ve seen it again, I’ve spoken to Odsonne as well. As much as people say that there is little contact there, if you play that at full time (speed?), the player comes in recklessly. You know Odsonne is trying to avoid that, he gets clipped in the process, it is six yards out from the goal- it’s a goal.

“The player knows what he is doing, he’s in the wrong position, he knows he is caught out and he goes into a reckless challenge and you have to avoid that. There has been contact, again it’s the referee’s decision but it is a poor decision in my opinion.”

After that decision, The Rangers got their equaliser through poor defending on Celtic’s part.

We were the better team but couldn’t get that second goal. The game fizzled out in the end in what turned out to be a very low key Derby day.

Celtic can feel aggrieved but the game could have still been won. John Kennedy making Lennon type decisions on substitutions confirmed to many the coach and the Irishman were on the same page on many things this season.

  1. It’s plain to see even in any neutrals eyes watching the game yesterday that wee mutant Collum favoured sevco in the 50/50 decisions, also how it wasn’t a penalty just stinks of hun biased rules reeking out of this rotten little country of ours.On the plus side it shouldn’t take too much of a reshuffle to claim back our title of Scottish champions next year.HH
