The Scottish FA have confirmed the officiating team for this weekend’s Scottish Cup Final between Celtic and Dunfermline at Hampden Park.
The SFA have confirmed that Steven McLean will take charge of the showpiece occasion as Martin O’Neill’s side look to complete the domestic double following their dramatic Premiership title triumph over Hearts.
McLean will be assisted by Frank Connor and Scott Anderson on the touchlines.
Meanwhile, VAR will once again be in operation for the final amid continued scrutiny surrounding several major decisions in recent weeks.
Matthew MacDermid has been appointed as VAR for the match, with Gary Hilland serving as assistant VAR.
The use of VAR has become one of the biggest talking points in Scottish football over the closing stages of the season, particularly following the controversial late penalty Celtic received against Motherwell that proved crucial in the title race.
VAR made the big call to get involved and award Celtic the spot kick, after a handball in the penalty area. The decision, though, has turned out to be controversial.
Willie Collum will address that on his VAR review show, which will be filmed in the days after the Scottish Cup final.
Attention will now inevitably fall on the officiating team at Hampden as Celtic attempt to finish the campaign with another trophy against a Dunfermline side managed by former Hoops boss Neil Lennon.
