Celtic take on Livingston at the Tony Macaroni on Sunday afternoon, hoping to at least maintain their four point lead at the top.

Livingston away has been a notoriously difficult tie for Celtic over the years. However, the last time Ange Postecoglou’s men played there, they won convincingly on their way to wrapping up the league title.

It’s a brand new season and Celtic are looking to pick up where they left off against Dave Martindale’s side. Livingston are riding high after taking a point away from Ibrox. Had it not been for a sending off, they might have escaped with all three.

We all know Livi’s tactics and how they’ll look to throw their weight around against Celtic. The home side will look to frustrate and be as robust as possible.

It’s why on the day we need a strong referee AND now a VAR official who knows what they’re doing. Last week at Tynecastle, Celtic were denied a stonewall penalty by both sets of officials in what was widely regarded as a farce.

The SPFL have now announced the team for Celtic’s trip up the M8:

Willie Collum will be the man on the ground while Alan Muir will be the VAR official back at Clarence House. Hopefully there are no repeats of the stupidity we saw with Walsh and McLean at Tynecastle.
