Former Celtic defender, Jozo Simunovic is reportedly a shock target of Serie A side AC Milan, after being released by the club in the summer.

Milan who are of course in the same group as the Scottish Champions are clearly in need and looking for a defender, as they targeted so many during the transfer window, including our very own Kristoffer Ajer, who was linked for long spells of the window.

But according to the Daily Record, Jozo Simunovic could be set for a surprise move to the Italian giants as he is currently still a free agent without a club.

It came as a surprise too many when the Croatian was allowed to leave the club as with the way Neil Lennon had spoken about him in the past, he seemed to take a liking to Jozo and thought he was a good asset to have.

Ultimately though, his injury problems happened far too often, so he was very unreliable and missed large spells of the season.

If he was to sign for the Milan club though, he would not be able to play against us in the Europa League, as they have already registered their squad for the group stages. Which is probably good considering this is the sort of thing that would come back to bite us, because its Celtic.
