Celtic will be up against an Aberdeen side who have Jonny Hayes back in their ranks after the Irishman thrashed our a deal to make his return to Pittodrie.
Hayes was let go at the start of June and has been mulling over his options. Derek McInness is still a huge admirer of the winger and they’ve managed to land his return, three years after leaving for Celtic.
According to Record Sport, the midfielder will agree a two-year deal with the Dins subject to a medical.
Hayes last game against Celtic was the Scottish Cup final where he scored an early goal against the Hoops before Armstrong and Rogic sealed and invincible treble.
The bhoys are going into a historic season and will have to be at their best when it comes to picking off a resolute Aberdeen side with Hayes back in their side.
