Brendan Rodgers has provided an update on three injury absentees from tonight’s match against Dundee.
Callum McGregor, Adam Idah, and Nicolas Kuhn were all missing from the squad, with Kuhn and Idah picking up injuries against Motherwell on Sunday.
With doubts surrounding whether any of the three would play a part against Aberdeen on Saturday at Hampden in the Scottish League Cup semi-final.
Rodgers said: (BBC Scotland), “Adam Idah, Nicolas Kuhn and Callum McGregor will all be fine for the weekend (League Cup semi-final against Aberdeen).
“Callum could’ve been involved tonight but there was no need to risk it. Kuhn had a bit of an issue with his hip after the weekend, again no need to risk it.
“Good news on Adam with the scan, he got away with it after the challenge and hopefully he’ll be ready for Saturday.”
Great news from Rodgers, exactly what every Celtic fan will want to hear.
With Aberdeen unbeaten since the beginning of the season, winning every game except for the 2-2 draw at Celtic Park a few weeks ago.
Jimmy Thelin has transformed the Dons from underachievers into one of the best teams in Scotland.
It will certainly be a test for Celtic.
Given the Scottish Cup semi-final in April, where the Dons took the Hoops to extra time and penalties, Celtic will need to be in top form to stand any chance of reaching the league final in December.
