Maeda has been in phenomenal form, scoring 29 goals this campaign for club and country. His recent performances have been great for Celtic, with his goal in Sunday’s Glasgow Derby defeat further highlighting his importance to Brendan Rodgers’ side.

He’s been that impressive that Bayern Munich players had his stats pinned on their dressing room wall.

Speaking about Maeda’s contributions, Hatate credited his teammate’s success to his daily dedication in training. [The Herald]

“Daizen Maeda is on top form right now and has been scoring so many goals for us.

“He’s had some luck, but mostly these goals are as a result of the daily effort he puts in.

“And I think that’s now showing on the pitch.”

Hatate’s comments echo what Celtic fans have witnessed all season—Maeda’s tireless running, sharp finishing, and ability to produce in big moments continue to impress. He’s gone up a level since Kyogo left, flourishing in the central role.

He’s a special player, and one that will never and can never be replaced at Celtic.

He’ll be racking up some interest around the globe, with the forward entering his final two years of his Celtic contract in the summer.

With Celtic closing in on another league title, Rodgers will be hoping Maeda continues his incredible run of form heading into the final stretch of the season.
