Reo Hatate pulled up in Celtic’s final game before the international break at home to Hibs and was subbed off after just 13 minutes.

He is now set to miss the Hoops’ trip to Dingwall to face Ross County on Sunday according to the The Scottish Sun although this is only a precaution in order to make sure the midfield maestro is 100% fit for the visit of Rangers next weekend.

Thankfully for Celtic, the Japanese’s issue is not a major one and it is said the international break greatly helped his cause.

His absence will be a bit of a blow for Postecoglou and Celtic however the Australian does have a squad full of quality at his disposal therefore he will not be short of options.

Despite Hatate’s expected absence, Greg Taylor, who was carrying an Achilles issue and Daizen Maeda, who returned home early from international duty because of injury, are both expected to be fit for Sunday’s game.

Risks will not be taken by Postecoglou on the likes of Aaron Mooy and Liel Abada this weekend as the 57 year old looks to ensure he has a fully fit squad raring to go for next Saturday’s Glasgow derby.

He will make decisions over the next 48 hours on the availability of all of his first team stars for the Highland clash and we will likely here more on this today in his press conference. This will be covered by CeltsAreHere across all of our social media channels meanwhile Celtic will post it on their YouTube.
