Reo Hatate has posted his first message since being announced as a Celtic player. The midfielder will shortly travel to Glasgow to begin his Hoops adventure but not before he said an emotional goodbye to his former club and their support.

The Japanese star took to to Instagram to bid farewell:

The Japanese trio of Daizen Maeda, Yosuke Ideguchi and Reo Hatate will join up with Kyogo and hope to emulate his success so far.

Kyogo has come in and hit the ground running with the bhoys. His performance while injured in the League Cup final was his best moment to date.

Not all will be able to have the start Kyogo has had but Ange will make sure they’re in the best place they can be to succeed at Celtic.

The winter break is currently in play but we could see all three debut in around two weeks time when Hibernian come to town.

We have no idea if the game will be played in front of fans at the moment.

  1. In his own words he struggles with “football”, “private life”, language, eating and “many other aspects.”

How could things go possibly wrong!…

    • And yet he has managed to win two league titles plus the Emperors Cup and Japanese Super Cup in his first two seasons and was named in the Team of the Season. He is just being humble and is saying this is why he wants to leave to develop these weaknesses.

    • Looking forward to welcoming him and his compatriots to Paradise.

The Celtic family will support and help him with any struggles he may have.

Others (sms and the dark side) may use it for their own agenda but our love and kindness will shine on this young man heading across the planet to further his career and life journey.

      Hail Hail!

  2. He’s trying to say not everyone can have the same start in a foreign country and adapt to a foreign culture .. translations not too good , but he will be a model pro and a great sell on asset when he does..
