After a year troubled by injuries, Hatate’s late-season return significantly boosted Celtic’s performances, coinciding with the team’s successful campaign that culminated in winning the double.

Hatate’s journey this season began on a rough note, finding himself out of the initial lineup preferences under manager Brendan Rodgers. David Turnbull was selected ahead of him, which limited his minutes. However, starting in March, Hatate managed to secure a regular spot in the team, contributing notably to Celtic’s end-of-season triumphs.

On Instagram, Hatate acknowledged the support he received throughout these trying times, stating: “Thank you for amazing support during the season! Although it was a difficult season for me, I’m so happy to win the titles. All is well that ends well.”

As Hatate now turns his focus to the international stage, where he will represent Japan in the upcoming World Cup qualifiers, his improved form and fitness will be crucial.

It’s great to see that the midfielder is continuing to break through on the international stage.
