Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou has confirmed that Reo Hatate had picked up a knock in training, but it was nothing too serious.

The midfielder has been brilliant so far in pre-season, looking promising for the upcoming season. After his performance dipped because of his hectic never-ending season, Celtic fans are set to see the best of the midfielder soon.

Postecoglou delivered the update on the player that was missing from Wednesday night’s squad. The Aussie boss didn’t come across as too concerned, believing he’ll rejoin the group when they return to Lennoxtown.

As quoted by The Herald, the Celtic manager stated;

“He had a slight knock,” Postecoglou said.

“He played both games and the decision was made to leave him out and he will train again on Friday for Saturday.”

Major Positive from Celtic’s Training Camp

Celtic has finished their pre-season training camp without any significant injuries, something that will please the manager.

Heading into the new season, Postecoglou will be keen to have his best players at his disposal. With only three friendlies left before Celtic welcome Aberdeen on the opening game of the season, the Celtic manager will be hoping that the physio’s bench stays empty.
