Reo Hatate was outstanding in the pre-season friendly against Norwich on Saturday. The Japanese midfielder ran the midfield and showed his range against the Championship side.

The former J-League star revealed at the back end of last season he was running on empty and it showed.

After a sustained break and a full pre-season, Reo looks ready to show what he can really do. It’s an exciting prospect!

Hatate’s energy in the middle of the park will be needed as we look to dominate teams and keep on the pressure.

The bhoys will be taking a huge step up in quality of opposition when it comes to the Champions League. While it might take the Celtic star some time to adjust to the new European environment, Reo could be a game changer and match winner if the bhoys can find a way.

Before we can look to the Champions League in September, we have a run of SPFL games where the bhoys must set the tone from the off.
