We’re still two months away from the January transfer window opening, but the transfer rumour mill is starting to gain momentum.

Celtic have the opportunity to keep the pressure on their rivals by doing their business early when the window opens. It means the club should be getting their ducks in a row over the next 8 weeks, ready to bring players in when the window does finally open.

The club have today been linked with South Korean International Min-kyu Song according to RecordSport who cite ‘reports’ in South Korea. The report claims we’re in a three way fight with Udinese and Fenerbahce to sign the player for just over £1.5m – which seems like a bargain.

The 22-year-old is a left sided winger currently playing for Jeonbuk Hyundai in the K-League.

It’s a strange one because the player only signed for his club back in July, we’re sitting at the end of October and he’s being linked with a move to Celtic. Not to say it couldn’t happen, but Jeonbuk Hyundai will likely be reluctant to part with a player they’ve not long got in the door.

Min-kyu Song has made 28 K-League appearances this season scoring eight goals and assisting in one. On the face of things, he does look like an Ange Postecoglou type signing.

We have Jota and Mikey Johnston on the left at present, unless the manager was convinced one of them won’t be at Celtic next season – we’re not sure if this is a transfer that will happen.
