Is the Aaron Hickey to Celtic saga finally reaching a conclusion?

SunSport seems to think so, TWO journalists have put their name to an article about Celtic signing Aaron from Bologna on a deal they believe to be around £3.5m.

Andy Devlin and David Friel claim Celtic are increasingly confident of a deal to bring Hickey back to Celtic where he was an academy player once upon a time.

They report Celtic chiefs are looking to get a deal done within days with Bologna and they don’t see personal terms being an issue.

Hickey and Celtic have a storied past, which is crazy when you realise the player is only 19. He has spent two spells in Celtic’s youth side, leaving both times to pursue first team football.

The left-back got noticed at Hearts and the club tried to bring him back last summer before the player’s move to Serie A.

Celtic’s left-back position is up for grabs this season and Aaron would fit into the style and philosophy Ange Postecoglou wants to get across.

It remains to be seen if Celtic will finally get their man for keeps this time.

  1. Whit!!!!!!! Surely there must be a better buy out there, rather than a ex reserve/reserve player, that never even got a chance. Celtic are they going to buy all of their ex players? because they have bloomed outside the spotlight of Paradise. Is that not why players go out on loan????

  2. He’s a rare talent that will only get better as he gets older will get to byline where not one left back got last season Taylor is getting better nut needs to believe he is good enough to play for celtic but has to show it now or his confidence only get worse

  3. Haven’t people learnt their is no such a thing as a done deal when CELTIC are concerned, how many doe deals have we seen collapse in the past through our incompetent boards slow actions and penny pinching.
