Celtic are reportedly keeping tabs on Lille striker Mohamed Bayo, according to reports in France.

The 25-year-old Guinean international has struggled for game time this season and could be seeking a fresh start away from the Ligue 1 side.
Bayo has played just 216 minutes across 11 Ligue 1 matches this campaign and has been limited to just 75 minutes in the Champions League. Despite his lack of opportunities, it’s understood that Lille are not actively looking to sell the striker, who they signed for €14m in the summer of 2022.
However, FootMercato claims Celtic are monitoring his situation closely, with manager Brendan Rodgers believed to be interested in the forward.
The Scottish champions are said to be one of several clubs tracking Bayo, with Italian Serie A side Como, Belgian champions Royal Antwerp, and Ligue 1 outfits Metz, Angers, and Montpellier also expressing interest.
Celtic’s interest in Bayo could hinge on the future of Kyogo, who has been the subject of persistent transfer speculation in recent weeks. With MLS side Atlanta United initially linked and more recent rumours connecting the Japanese star to Rennes, a concrete bid for the prolific forward could force Celtic into action in the January transfer window.
Rodgers has been vocal about wanting to retain his top performers but has also acknowledged that the club must prepare for all scenarios. Should Kyogo leave, Bayo could emerge as a potential replacement.
