Celtic have shown an interest in teenage Hammarby winger Bazoumana Toure, according to a report.

Swedish outlet fotbolldirekt.se states that the Hoops had a scout watching the 18-year-old in his side’s recent 2-0 win over Brommapojkarna, in which he scored.

Since joining Hammarby from ASEC Mimosas in March, Toure has scored three goals and assisted two in just 10 appearances.

Along with the likes of Crystal Palace, Bayer Leverkusen, and Frankfurt, Celtic are keen on signing the three-time capped Ivory Coast under-20 internationalist, however, a summer move might not be simple.

Indeed, Hammarby is not keen on letting the player go this window because he has not even been with the club for six months.

If the Bhoys did get the left-winger in, though, it remains to be seen whether he would join up with the first-team or B side, who compete in the Lowland League, Scotland’s fifth tier.

Valued on Transfermarkt at little under £3m, any deal would be costly for the Hoops, especially considering Toure is contracted in Sweden until December 2028.

His name is one to monitor over the closing month of the window.

  1. There seems like Rodgers is looking for a youngster to replace vata imo?
Our 25man squad may well consist of 7 attacking options within it?
Yet 7 over the full course of a Scottish campaign isn’t great for ourselves numbers wise?
Especially when 6 would be expected to be within and used on most matches these days?
So only really covered for 1 injury as such at present imo?
No-one really stood out from the academy at present, to suggest that they were in the reckoning to be considered as a potential on breaking into the 1st team squad just yet imo?
So potentially such a position still exists for ourselves, similar to how Rodgers is currently viewing Turley at present?
There will be some changes made to our attacking options before the window shuts, even if it remains unclear to just how them changes will be applied just yet imo?
Still think that we will be looking at a minimum of 9 attacking options available for the season ahead imo?
