Celtic have been linked with yet another French player this transfer window with GFFN now reporting Celtic have made contact with Rennes over a few for their midfielder James Léa Siliki.
The French club are due in Glasgow this weekend to take on the bhoys in a pre-season friendly but this link has seemingly come out of nowhere.
The French Football site claims Rennes have already knocked back a bid from Porto for Siliki. If that’s the case there’s little to no chance Celtic would be in for the player.
The report cites Ntcham’s fee perhaps paving the way for a big money deal but after spending a lot of money on Christopher Jullien by Celtic standards, it’s unlikely the club will bring in a player surpassing the defender’s fee this summer.
You never know but it appears the flavour of the month when it comes to Celtic is linking them with moves for French players.
