Mario Vuskovic is edging closer to joining Celtic this summer according to reports. The club is currently talking to the player and his representatives about potential salaries.
Croatian outlet Slobodna Dalmacija is claiming that Celtic are offering the 19-year-old defender a wage of over €13,000 per week.
The website claims the Glasgow club is offering a better wage than Italian side Torino, who are also interested in the player. It details that Celtic are willing to offer €400,000 more per year compared to the Italian club.
In April, journalist Nicolo Schira tweeted that Celtic had a bid of €5 million rejected, but today gave a further update.
#HajdukSplit have rejected an official bid of €5M from #Celtic for the croatian centre back Mario #Vuskovic (born in 2001). #Torino are also interested in him and #Napoli have asked info last January. #transfers

In yesterday’s press conference new manager Ange Postecoglou said that fans could expect signings ‘very, very soon’, could the 19-year-old Hajduk Split player be one of the first?
Celtic are in dire need of defensive players, with Ajer set to leave and Duffy returning to his parent club. The potential defensive 4 for the Champions League qualifier against danish side Midtjylland is extremely inexperienced and lacks quality. If Celtic want to progress far into the competition signings must be finalised at the earliest opportunity.
I hope we see new signings next week c’mon the hoops.
