As reported by SunSport, Celtic have agreed personal terms with Greek-Aussie Ange Postecoglou. This agreement is only verbal (again) but the report claims an announcement is likely to be made within 72 hours, meaning on or before Tuesday. This comes after more than 100 days since Neil Lennon departed Parkhead.

The issue of isolation when arriving in the united kingdom is nothing more than an a “formality” and Ange may even fly straight to Wales where Celtic are set to undertake a training camp.

It is key however to note the agreement is only verbal, as was Eddie Howe’s deal which ultimately fell through.

Ange Postecoglou may not be a household name within European football but his appointment should excite Celtic fans. The 55-year-old plays an attacking brand of football, pressing high, with a high line and a sweeper keeper. His playstyle will certainly be filled with goals at both ends, but the edge of the seat viewing will be welcomed in Paradise. It has been said that Ange will change Scottish football forever, and that may start in the coming days.
