According to reports in Croatia – Celtic are set to complete the signing of Mario Vušković as early as next week!
Sportske.jutarnji are claiming Hadjuk Split’s resistance has been broken down by Celtic’s persistence to get the deal done.
The report reveals Celtic are set to sign the 19-year-old for £4.3m with add-ons.
If that’s the case, it would mean Mario would become Ange Postecoglou’s first signing for the club. The defender would certainly be heading to Glasgow to play a part in the first team straight away.
Ange has told supporters he wants to give youth a chance and if the talent is there, he will put his faith in them.
Signing a talented 19-year-old would certainly back up that assertion.
Celtic have a number of positions needing filled this summer. At least one centre-back is needed at Mario could be that guy. Rumours of an Erik Sviatchenko could be another move the club look to make.

There’s nothing been confirmed from any source in Scotland to this point. Could Celtic be plugging holes in the information which comes out of the club in an unofficial capacity?
