There is just under a month to go in the transfer window and there will inevitably be outs and ins before all is said an done.

However, according to the Scotsman there’s an out coming pretty soon.

The paper claims Jozo Simunovic has already talked terms with Lille over a move to the French club and will double his wages if Celtic and Lille come to an agreement over the fee.

It sounds pretty backwards but the player has been linked with a move to Ligue 1 this window.

What’s more is where the report has originated from. The Scotsman are lifting it from Football Insider who throw out lots of ‘reports’ which turn out to be false.

It does seem peculiar the club would let Jozo speak to Lille before a deal is agreed in principle.

Why would you allow your player to see what he could earn elsewhere and be unhappy should the deal not happen?

Neil Lennon wants to keep Jozo at the club.

  1. Stop joining in with this nonsense.
Terms cannot be agreed with a player unless Celtic have given permission.
All you are doing is giving these reports oxygen.
