CELTIC have lost another young player this summer it would appear.

Armstrong Oko-Flex joined West Ham last week, ending his time in Glasgow without much to show for it.

Now, it’s Vincent Angelini who has walked through the Parkhead exit door according to the print edition of MailSport, on page 79 of today’s paper to be exact.

The newspaper claims goalkeeper Vincent Angelini’s contract has come to an end and the player has opted to sign a deal with Watford.

Angelini, 17, was attracting interest since January and it looked increasingly unlikely the goalkeeper would stay with Celtic beyond the summer. Sempre Milan even reported the Italian giants were keeping tabs on him.

Vincent is the grandson of Celtic legend David Hay and signed for the Hoops.

The youngster signed his first professional deal back in 2019 with high hopes but like Oko-Flex there’s not much to show for his time at Celtic.

There has been too much upheaval and lack of game time for too many of our young players who have opted to move elsewhere in search of better development.

Vincent was too young to be considered in the first team mix but his development was clearly not there.

Hopefully this season we see a reversal of this and players want to come to Celtic to develop. The Colt side gives the club fresh impetus when it comes to bringing on our young talent – it will be up for the manager and the developmental team to bridge the gap and allow more players to filter through from Lennoxtown.
