GIORGOS GIAKOUMAKIS looks like he could be set to leave Celtic this January, with multiple clubs taking an interest in the striker.
After he and Celtic sat down to discuss a new contract which would see a better wage package, but negotiations broke down after the striker was unhappy with what was on offer.
He’s also said to be disappointed about his minutes on the pitch; playing second fiddle to Kyogo and only getting ten minutes a week isn’t pleasing him.
Reports on Wednesday stated that the Danish side Midtjylland were interested in what would be a highly optimistic deal. Greek journalist Giannis Chorianopoulos has provided an update on talks, saying that the side has been priced out of a deal.
In a tweet, he informed his followers that the Hoops were looking for €6-7 million, a fee that some fans believe is too little.
