Celtic reps wateched Motherwell wonderkid Lennon Miller at Scotland U19s’ match against France U19s on Tuesday night, according to SunSport.
The Hoops, along with Rangers, Manchester United, Manchester City, Aston Villa, Liverpool, and Chelsea, watched the youngster captain his country.
The Scots earned an impressive 0-0 draw at The Falkirk Stadium, but it wasn’t enough to advance to the next round of qualification for the 2025 Under-19 European Championships.
Celtic’s interest in Miller has been well documented. Journalist Mark Guidi thinks the prospect, who has over 50 senior appearances for ‘Well under his belt, will ‘definitely’ leave the Steelmen in January.
He thinks Miller will end up at Celtic, with previous reports stating the Fir Park side won’t accept offers of less than £4m for the hotshot.
Most Hoops fans would back a move for the 18-year-old in January.
Whether he signs for Celtic and joins the first team immediately or goes back on loan to Motherwell for the rest of the season, supporters would be happy for the champions just to secure his long-term services. Indeed, any time Miller has played against the Bhoys, he has impressed.
He is currently one of the top prospects in the Scottish Premiership, and Celtic should always aim to sign the best young, homegrown talent from across the league.
