Eddie Howe is very close to being appointed the new manager of Celtic football club according to reports.

The former Bournemouth man has been heavily tipped to take over at the club for some time but nothing official has come out in public.

The Daily Mail’s print edition this morning claims the manager is all but in the door and he’s now picking his backroom team!

It’s been a long process and the move has to be right for all parties. Stephen McGowan has broke this latest story as he did just under a month ago when he told Celtic fans Howe and Desmond held talks.

We don’t want a manager who is simply just grateful to be here. We need a manager who has conducted their due diligence and believes they’re the best man for the job.

It’s very encouraging Eddie Howe is allowed to appoint his own staff and might still get Richard Hughes in the door in some capacity this summer.

If the deal is finally being sealed, it gives Celtic and Howe less than three months to get the squad prepared for the Champions League qualifiers.

  1. “Stephen Mc Gowan has broke” should be “Stephen Mc Gowan has broken”.
You get only a D- for English in this regurgitated story!
