Several clubs are keen on a deal for Celtic left-back Greg Taylor, according to a report from MailSport (via RecordSport).

The defender is out of contract at the end of the season and is currently free to talk to other teams about a pre-contract agreement.

Dinamo Zagreb were the first side to be concretely linked with the 27-year-old. It would appear Trabzonspor are the next.

Indeed, it is said that the Turkish Super Lig side want Taylor to replace Borna Barisic, the ex-Rangers left-back. They have registered their interest, along with Espanyol and English Championship duo Hull City and Queens Park Rangers.

Despite having several options on the table, Taylor’s reported preference is to stay at Parkhead and work under Brendan Rodgers until at least the end of the season. His representatives and the club remain in discussions over a new deal.

While the Scotland international dropped out of the Hoops team that put Ross County to the sword in a dominant 4-1 victory yesterday afternoon, Taylor has been a regular throughout his time in Glasgow’s east end.

He has registered 199 appearances for Celtic, winning nine trophies along the way. He could extend that tally to 11 should he stay put until the end of the season.
