Celtic announced they would be taking part in a Ange Postecoglou ‘homecoming’ tournament in Australia later this year after rumours of a Glasgow derby in the country emerged.

The club only stated they’d be part of the tournament but failed to mention any of the three other clubs who will be involved.

We believe the club prematurely posted the tournament plans before they wanted to because the news slipped out into social media.

The participants have now been confirmed by Australian club WS Wanderers who are also part of the tournament.

There has been significant opposition to Celtic actively chasing money with their Glasgow rivals.

Celtic Shared revealed their stance on the subject on Tuesday and made it clear they’d not be in favour of any deal that would see Celtic and the Ibrox [Read more here]

However, Ange Postecoglou has spoken of his pride about returning to Australia as Celtic manager since the news broke. The manager clearly looking forward to the tournament.

In the mean time, Celtic have a title to fight for and with ten games left to go in the league, it could go right down to the wire.
