Reported Celtic target Cameron Carter-Vickers could still be set for an exit from Tottenham Hotspur, setting up some potential late drama.

According to journalist Jonathan Veal, the American defender could still secure an exit from the London club at the late stages of the summer transfer window.

Speculation today has suggested that Celtic have enquired about Carter-Vickers availability on a loan deal today. However, reports also stated that it could be a little late to get a deal done, with Spurs preferring a permanent deal.

Carter-Vickers has been linked with a move to Parkhead on several occasions this summer as Celtic look to add to their defensive options.

Of course, it remains to be seen if there will be any sort of twist in Carter-Vickers future with Tottenham Hotspur.

From a Celtic point of view, we can only hope there is, and it involves us in order to give Ange Postecoglou some much-needed reinforcements at the back.
