Reported Celtic target and Millwall striker Abdul Abdulmalik has gone on trial with English League One side Portsmouth.

As reported by Hampshire Live, both Celtic and Scottish Premiership rivals Rangers are mentioned to have been interested in bringing the teenager to Scotland as he goes on trial with Pompey.

This is a fairly new one to not only us but likely the vast majority of Celtic fans.

Abdulmalik’s name hasn’t popped up in many reports beforehand, but the 18-year old forward is reportedly attracting interest from sides across the country, including the Glasgow pair and Arsenal.

The youngster is now a free agent after his contract with the Championship expired. It is also thought that at one stage, Millwall, in fact, turned down an offer from Swansea City, who were interesting in bringing Abdulmalik to the club.

However, now they will be holding out for a compensation fee for the young striker, and at this stage, it looks like Portsmouth have the upper hand on making their move.
