REPORTED Celtic target Tomas Kalas has opened up about his nomadic football career to this point. Even though he has only had one permanent club since 2010 he has been out on loan to six different clubs.

Kalas, 25, has only ever played four games for the full Chelsea squad and has spent most of his time away plying his trade elsewhere.

Reports last night suggested Celtic had a scout looking at the defender as he played for his current loan side Bristol City.

Celtic are in the market for at least one centre-back but more than likely two with Benkovic only at the club on-loan and the increasing likelihood that Boyata will leave means Celtic will have a big rebuilding job at the back this summer.

The prospect of a permanent home for Kalas is not a foregone conclusion nor is it something he’s worried too much about.

“Obviously I wish that I could find a club to settle down at for a long time, but I don’t really mind going on loans,” he explained to Bristol Live.

“Some people might hate me for that – not being in a certain place for longer than two seasons but because I adapt quite quickly and I’m easy going, any team, and because I’m not big-headed or arrogant or stuff like that, even though I’m changing teams I feel like I’m at home at every team I come to.

“So that’s not really a problem,”

Celtic’s January and summer recruitment left a lot to be desired. The club must ensure they bring in quality over quantity after the Compper debacle.
