It was late on Saturday night when the news broke Arsenal had put in a reported £25m bid for Celtic’s Kieran Tierney.

There has been phantom bids before reported by the press but it would appear the London club have become active again for the player since their derisory £15m bid was rejected.

Arsenal look desperate to land the defender this summer and have certainly upped the ante with the new bid, but is all as it seems?

According to MailSport, it’s not.

Should Celtic accept the deal they would NOT be getting the £25m up front and to get it to that figure would depend on addons. No specifics mentioned at this point but this could consist of money coming to Celtic depending on Kieran’s appearances for Arsenal, trophies won, assists made etc.

I don’t know who plucked out £25m fee from and Celtic have never confirmed their fee to anybody publicly. But if that is the fee then Arsenal should pay it in full if they want the player.
