It’s being reported Celtic are keeping all their options on the table with regards to goalkeepers and according to MailSport, the club could revisit an old face if they fail to land Fraser Forster!

Celtic’s number one priority is bringing Fraser a Forster back to the club in any capacity in time for next season, but if that’s not possible, another approach will be taken.

That approach could include a return for Celtic youth goalkeeper David Marshall. The Scottish international who now plays for Wigan has become a shock target of the bhoys according to the report.

Marshall came through the ranks at Celtic and had that famous night at the Camp Nou during Celtic’s 2004 UEFA cup run.

The 35-year-old left the club under Gordon Strachan when Artur Boruc took his place as first team goalkeeper. Playing his career down south, David has had a decent career. However if he were to be brought in, it would surely to be backup to Scott Bain.

Craig Gordon part ways with the Scottish Champions this week officially, signing a two-year deal with Hearts.
