Another day, another rumour!

RecordSport are today reporting Celtic could finally firm up their interest in right-back Omar Elabdellaoui with the player being linked with Celtic previously.

Omar, 27, currently plays for Olympiacos who still have a legitimate shot at the Champions League with the club being in the play-off round.

The defender has played all four of his clubs qualifiers so far in the competition and you would have to imagine the lure of Champions League football would make the player think twice about the move.

We find it very hard to believe the report suggesting Omar and Olympiacos would still be up for doing a deal if they landed in the Champions League.

Claiming the player could go for around £4m and would be willing to take a pay cut to join Celtic. It just doesn’t add up.

Omar is a Norwegian international with almost 40 caps to his name and is also a former Manchester City graduate.
