Celtic are currently in the midst of trying to firm up interest in players as they build a squad for ten in a row.

It’s not your run of the mill summer window and takes place in the backdrop of the unknown surrounding the game not only in Scotland but all across Europe.

The bhoys need to be savvy and they have to prepare for not landing big paydays from Euro qualifiers and a potential three European home games with no gate receipts etc.

If you thought Celtic were thrifty with their money before, just wait until you see what happens this summer. We need to box clever and look in markets where player sales are less inflated.

Glasgow Times are reporting Celtic are interested in Hellas Verona defender Pawel Dawidowicz.

Pawel, 24, is a former Benfica player who joined Verona permanently last summer after a successful loan spell.

Celtic need to find a replacement for Jozo Simunovic and probably add another defender if Kristoffer Ajer is moved on.
