REPORTS in Serbia suggest Celtic have joined the hunt to sign highly rated 19-year-old, Luka Adzic from Red Star Belgrade.

The attacking midfielder has been highly sought after for some time and has made 29 appearances for Red Star in all competitions, scoring 7 goals in the process.

Red Star Belgrade want to keep a hold of their young prodigy but Luka’s current deal runs out at the end of this year and he’ll be free to sign a pre-contract with any club next month.

This means the club will seek to get some sort of transfer compensation for their player if he’s made his mind up about moving on with a cut price of £1million being talked about.

Serbian media also report that Porto are chasing the youngsters signature – will Celtic go above and beyond to sign the player?

With Patrick Roberts and Charly Musonda both likely to return to England, it wouldn’t surprise us if Rodgers was looking to beef up his attacking line with more young talent.

However, the return of Christie and Lewis Morgan to the fold might mean Celtic are less eager to get this one over the line.
