REPORTS today suggest Celtic have made a bid for striker Vakoun Issouf Bayo.

Bayo, 21, is an Ivory Coast International who made his debut for his country in October this year.

So far this season the player has scored an impressive 18 goals and made seven assists in 23 appearances for his club.

According to SunSport, Celtic have made a play for the striker’s services and have bid around £1.75million to secure his signature.

Bayo joined Dunajska Streda back in March of this year on a free, so any fee they get for the player would be pure profit for the Slovakian side.

Celtic are on the lookout for two new strikers with Timothy Weah expected to come in on-loan over the next week or so.

Celtic’s striker problems are well documented and with Edouard not completely fit the bhoys started at Ibrox with no recognised striker.

Brendan Rodgers and his scouting team are now working overtime to try and bring new faces in which will improve the squad.
