Celtic have reportedly made contact with a former managerial target in West Ham manager David Moyes, regarding any possible interest in the job this summer.

According to TEAMtalk, intermediates at the club have made contact with the former Celtic defender about any sort of chance he would make the move back up north to Glasgow.

Despite Moyes coming to the end of his contract at English Premier League side West Ham, it is highly likely he will be offered a new deal after an incredible campaign in the league so far this season.

It has been an impressive turnaround for the Hammers in their second spell under the Scottish manager, who has taken them from relegation candidates to possible European contenders this season, sitting nicely in 7th place, just two points off of the top four.

Many probably would have turned their head to Moyes after several years of underwhelming jobs. However, he definitely seems to have turned that reputation around.

As mentioned though, a move for Moyes is something I cannot see happening with how well things are going at West Ham, so it is likely he will be staying there for the next few years to come and his priority will be to remain at the club

  1. Can the last few days get any worse? Moyes? What a joke, surely not. Aside from his dire record, he has never shown anything but contempt for Scottish football and is another promoter of the ‘Old Firm’ brand
