Celtic have had an offer accepted for J-League star Yosuke Ideguchi according to a report from Japanese outlet Hochi.

The former player of Leeds United currently plays with Gamba Osaka in the J-League and has previously had spells in Spain and Germany.

The report claims Celtic made a ‘winning offer’ and the 25-year-old is open to moving to Glasgow.

The midfielder has made 29 appearances in the league this season and 41 across all competitions. Playing a deeper role in the middle of the pitch, he has contributed to 1 goal. With his national side, Japan, he has been capped 15 times and netted the ball twice.

His current side finished in the bottom half of the league table, but with the season now at an end, Japanese stars will now start to listen to offers.

Celtic have already been linked to a number of Japanese talents over the past few weeks. Of course, it is a league Ange knows well and he also knows the talent available to him.

The club will use this window to strengthen the squad and the prospect of multiple Japanese stars coming to Celtic certainly excites fans.
