REPORTS today claim Celtic are set to send out Brendan Rodgers signing Eboue Kouassi on-loan next season to gain first team experience.

The player has had limited opportunities since signing for Celtic 18-months ago but Brendan Rodgers sees the midfielder as a part of his future plans.

With Scott Brown and Olivier Ntcham commanding the two central midfield positions at the moment – Kouassi can expect another season of being used sparingly if he is to stay at the club.

Rodgers flirted with the idea of sending Kouassi out back in January but the Celtic manager opted to keep him at Parkhead.

It would certainly be best for the player’s development in the long run.

However, if Stuart Armstrong leaves, will Celtic think twice about sending the 20-year-old out?
