SCOTT BROWN is being targeted by Western Melbourne as the new club get set to join the A-League which is apparently changing from ten clubs to twelve.

According to Mail Sport, the newcomers are eyeing Brown as their potential marquee signing and would be looking to offer him a sizeable wage to quit Parkhead.

The new club has ambitious plans for a 15,000 seater stadium and have apparently got funds in place to come straight into the league and eye winning the big prize.

Brown is out of contract in the summer and is available to sign a pre-contract with any other club come January.

Any deal would hinge on the club getting the go ahead to become one of the two new sides in the league – which gets announced on October 31.

Could a lifestyle change and more money be appealing to Brown and his family?

Opinion.

It’s only natural, even at Brown’s age that there will be offers for his services as his contract winds down.

Brown has been committed to Celtic for so long and I don’t see that changing any time soon.

The midfielder wants to do his coaching badges and perhaps become a coach at Celtic Park when he hangs up his boots.

The offer of more money in a warmer climate could be tempting but Broony has lasted the Scottish winters this long!

  1. Could be a good move for scott as Celtic also need to adapt there style of play in the league as teams only concentrate on our wing backs , and midfield can’t drive through the middle of the park to assist wing back play without the back passing
